Daniel writes to all members and friends
This month we start a new year with anticipation for new opportunities to do something or be something different - new beginnings, second chances. The blank pages of the year 2007 urge us to improve - and new starts are possible if we make them with God’s help! Three years age we stated that the vision for Grange Park Baptist Church is above all to offer its local community the message of God’s love for the whole world. But how are we going to achieve this? By acting upon our church purpose statement. This means warming to one another through fellowship, growing deeper through discipleship, stronger through worship, broader through ministry while increasing in numbers through evangelism!
To find out with certainty whether we have achieved our purpose we require goals. The church leadership team are taking a day away to evaluate the goals set in 2006 and how we performed against them - this will also allow us to set our goals for 2007.
It is at this point I would also like to ask you, as an individual - what was it that you set out to do during 2006 as a member of the community in Grange Park Baptist Church? Did you achieve it? And what one thing would you do differently in the coming year? Answering these questions will help you to understand your attitude towards your church and the purpose statement.
We need to ask ourselves - “How have I responded in Fellowship, in Evangelism, in Discipleship, in Worship and in Ministry in Grange Park Baptist church during 2006?” Feel free to talk with me and the Deacons and remember, for this church to make a difference in the community in 2007, it will require all our commitment in what we can do and give. It should not escape our minds that God requires us to be both faithful and fruitful, these are key components for a successful church given the gifts, opportunities and potential of its members.
May God Bless you in 2007! Daniel

24-2 Prayer Completed
48 hours of constant prayer has just finished. A massive thank you to everybody who took part. We really hope you enjoyed it and felt a special closeness to The Lord. The art work and pleas on the "Wailing Wall" are especially moving. We believe that this is the first of many similar events and the beginning of something special at Grange Park.
